If you’re like me, you love Starbucks drinks but not the Starbucks price. I’ve been a longtime customer at Starbucks, and in that time I’ve tried almost every menu item on the list – with holiday drinks usually being my favourite.
In my quest of trying to find my favourite Starbucks drinks and treats, I realized that I would quickly spend all of my money there treating myself if I wasn’t careful. So to help my bank account while still indulging in something special, I’ve come up with this list to help all of us get free and reduced-price Starbucks drinks and other menu items.
1. Swagbucks
Swagbucks has always been my favourite way to earn easy gift cards to buy free drinks from Starbucks. I earn quick points from them many ways including surfing the web, watching videos, answering easy survey questions, and shopping online. You can get started earning by getting a free $5 gift card when you sign up using my link here!
2. Use the Drop app to get points for free gift cards
The Drop app rewards me for making purchases at stores that I frequent. All you have to do when signing up for your free account is connect your payment cards to the app, and you’ll easily earn points for making purchases that you would be making anyway! Get started with $5 when you sign up using my link or use code 0vhy8 when signing up with the app!
3. Royal Draw can help you earn a few gift cards each year
I’ve been using Royal Draw every single day for a few years now, and I’ve had only positive experiences with it! Each day I earn a couple of points spending just a few seconds checking my email, entering their daily draw, and seeing if they have any interesting coupons. Since first starting to use this site, I’ve earned a few $25 gift cards that I redeem to use at Starbucks and Amazon – well worth 30 seconds out of my internet-scrolling time!
4. Join the Starbucks Rewards Program
I’m a big fan of their rewards program and I find that the rewards always add up quicker than I expect. Each purchase that you make earns you Stars, and you can redeem these Stars for different items like drinks, drink upgrades, and food. They have a tiered system for redeeming your Stars – so the more you save up, the bigger your reward will be!
If you haven’t signed up yet, you can sign up here!
5. Take advantage of Happy Hour BOGO days
I often receive notifications on my Starbucks app that they’ll be having a BOGO Happy Hour drink offer on an upcoming Thursday. All I have to do is go to Starbucks during their Happy Hour time, and I’ll get two drinks for the price of one!
6. Get a free birthday drink or food item
If you have a Starbucks rewards card or the Starbucks app and have made a purchase at least 7 days prior to your birthday, you’ll be eligible for a birthday freebie! They offer you a choice of a handcrafted beverage, a food item, or one ready-to-drink bottled beverage
7. Bring your own mug
When you bring your own cup or mug into Starbucks for your coffee, they’ll give you 10 cents off your purchase. It isn’t a huge amount, but it definitely adds up over time and you’re helping the environment while you save
8. Get free refills
A lot of people don’t know about this tidbit, but Starbucks offers free refills on hot coffee, iced coffee & cold brew, and hot tea or iced tea. As long as you stay in the restaurant to drink your coffee, you’ll be eligible for a free refill!
9. Join their email list
Last but definitely not least – get your information directly from the source. You’ll be the first to know about upcoming offers, deals, and promotions. They have pretty great holiday offers so definitely keep an eye out around then
And there you have it! I’m able to save tons of money all throughout the year by using these apps and websites listed above, and it lets me save up my money for other things while still indulging in a treat! Free Starbucks drinks are definitely possible, all it takes is a little thought beforehand!
